At La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat, we are humbled by the beauty of the Amazon rainforest, and we understand our responsibility in preserving its delicate ecosystems.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words, as we actively implement eco-friendly practices and initiatives like the use of batteries to reduce the use of the generators at the lodge and our reduction of single use plastics campaign to minimize our impact on this precious environment.

Go Neutral program

At La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat, we recognize the vital responsibility of protecting the Amazon Rainforest. Through our partnership with SICMA Ecuador’s Go Neutral program, we have identified, quantified, and actively reduced our greenhouse gas emissions.

Our commitment to carbon neutrality reflects our dedication to safeguarding this fragile ecosystem and advancing responsible tourism.

TIES – The International Ecotourism Society:

We are active members of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting ecotourism.
Founded in 1990, TIES has been at the forefront of developing ecotourism guidelines, standards, and best practices.
Their mission aligns closely with our commitment to sustainable tourism, conservation, and the well-being of local communities.

Preferred by Nature

Our dedication to sustainability extends beyond eco-friendly initiatives. La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat has partnered with Preferred by Nature that for more than 25 years, they worked to develop practical solutions to drive positive impacts in production landscapes and supply chains, focusing on land use, primarily through forest, agriculture and climate impact commodities, and related sectors such as tourism and conservation.
